So way back before I went all emo and decided to hide from the world for a while I was going to start a graphic design business with a friend of mine named Genevieve.  Well, I came out of hiding and we started talking again and once more we are back to the “Let’s make awesome logo’s and websites.. “  So, currently that is where my mind is at.. that and make Christmas Card Templates.. yeah, honestly I have no idea why.. it’s October.  But.. I did design TWO today.. yes.. two.  And they look snazzy.  I stole the idea for the “joy” one from TinyPrints.com but I think mine looks better… it’s more retro fabulous!

Tonight was awesome!  My favorite answer for the “What is your favorite Book of Mormon Scripture and Why?” Was.. “‘And my father dwelt in a tent’ because it’s EPIC!”  The booths were awesome and I won an Italian Cream Cake from the cake walk.. My husband was making fun of me for not having won a cupcake when the “big” walk popped up.. and you can imagine my happiness when I took that beautiful cake and showed it to him and said “Keep your cupcake SUCKAH!”  Ha!

Tuesday is one of my more favorite days of the week.  Why?  Well Tuesday is the day we have the missionaries come over for lunch!  These Elder’s have been really great.  They are so sweet and goofy!  I also have a pretty awesome story to go along with these specific missionaries.  *takes a deep breath*

So, this past year my husband and I went through a period of inactivity in the church.  One day my daughter comes up to me and tells me that I need to bake chocolate chip cookies because the missionaries are coming over.  I knew they weren’t.  I hadn’t invited them, everyone knows how much I hated unexpected company, etc.  Well, for some reason she just kept insisting and I thought “Well, it couldn’t hurt to make some” so into the kitchen we went baking our cookies.  As soon as I pop them into the oven there was a knock at the door.  Guess who?  That’s right, the missionaries!  It’s nice to know that even when I might not be in-tune with the spirit my daughter is!  Slowly but surely our family has started going back to church.  I know that these missionaries played a big part in getting us off our butts!

Anyway, these Elder’s are actually the Spanish-speaking one’s for the area.  I plan on feeding them every Tuesday until they are gone.  So, I made my first scrapbook layout in AGES the other day with the story of these Elder’s.  The kit was by Carrie Stephens - Spontaneous Delight.  Anyways.. I need to get going and start working on lunch!
